How To Make A Perfect Salad

How to make a Perfect SALAD 🥗?

Do you want to know how to make a perfect salad ? Lets ask ourselves first do we need to eat greens ? Every parent wants their child to eat a lot of vegetables. Our parents convince us to eat vegetables and often force us to eat broccoli, peas or lettuce. Since children prefer to eat sweet and eat fruit more willingly than vegetables, we must ask ourselves whether greens are necessary, irreplaceable in human diet? Do we really have to eat it? Note that you can eat without any sauce or additives – Banana, mango, grapes but lettuce, spinach, kale need sauce or other ingredients to eat a lot of them.

Is it natural for us to eat greens? Do we really need it, since it is so difficult for us to eat it in its basic form, without sauce or additives? If we lived in the tropics and had access to fresh, organic tropical fruits such as coconut, mango, papaya and lots of other tropical fruits that you probably never heard of, greens would be less important while in our situation living in a more or less moderate climate with “limited” access to fruits (for example in Europe many fruits that are recommended for optimal human diet are out of our reach) we must include greens in our diet.

Let’s try to eat a large meal every day, preferably raw, in which greens play an important role. Whether it’s a green smoothie, juice or a huge salad. It would be important to have a large amount of it. Remember that it’s supposed to be tasty 😉 don’t force yourself to eat it. With the right additives, greens are just as tasty as a salad with mayonnaise, plenty of oil or salt. For a large salad, prepare a sauce based on sweet date syrup or fruit sauce. Contrary to appearances, by adding fruit to a salad, such as mangoes or strawberries, these combinations turn greens into a real delight!

Remember that the oil is not recommended for seasoning a salad, but e.g. lemon, mustard, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, a teaspoon of tahini or even yeast flakes are a great help and will turn lettuce into a total treat. After 10 years being Plant Based, preparing a salad is not longer a problem for me. I know that for many it is quite difficult. I want to take you out of the mistake: A salad doesn’t just consist of a few leaves of lettuce, a tomato, a cucumber and a huge amount of olive oil. Salad is also not just an addition to the dish. Nor does it have to be boring, distasteful and leaving us unsatisfied. Salad is as caloric as cooked food, but you have to follow certain rules.

The greens are the basis. First, you choose the delicate leaves, such as romaine or butter lettuce. Later, you choose greens that are heavier as kale, spinach, rucola po or celery. Then some vegetables: tomato, cucumber, zucchini, pepper, radish, carrot or corn. Then you add products that will diversify this salad even more, i.e. sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, grape, pomegranate fruit and nuts in general (do not add too many nuts, seeds to the salad – a tablespoon or two for the entire salad). There are also very important additions that will turn the salad into a more caloric dish, i.e. rice, chickpeas, quinoa, beans, potatoes or sweet potatoes.

You need something sour, sweet and fatty to make the perfect sauce. Sour: lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, balsamic vinegar. Sweet: Agave syrup, maple syrup, date syrup or a date to blend. Dried fruits can also be blended, e.g. raisins, cranberries or dried figs. Fatty: Tahini, Avocado, Olive Oil or Linseed Oil (max 1 tablespoon per person).

Additionally, you can season it with herbs: dill, parsley or add spices such as pepper or herbal salt. AND Don’t be afraid to add fruit to your salad. Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, apple, pear, pineapple and mango add a juicy element and turn your salad into a real paradise on earth.

Salad is not a snack or addition to dinner. It is a wholesome meal that, if consumed regularly, can HEAL you ❤ If you want to know how I managed to overcome Hashimoto disease and Psoriasis follow my Facebook group „Sweet and Heathy” to find more useful info about it. Follow me on YOUTUBE :
